Words from Calvin Cromwell.
From a young age, dreams and goals felt like a distant idea, almost impossible to reach. As I got older, I realized I needed to take my dream more seriously. I wasn’t the biggest, strongest, or fastest on the team, but that only pushed me to work harder and be better than everyone else. Even with limited resources, I was determined to make my dream a reality. Through persistence, practice, and determination, I did just that.
My dedication paid off, and I earned MVP honors and was named All-State Universal Athletics Player of the Year for shortstop. That accomplishment led me to become a first-generation college student on an athletic scholarship.
After two years of college ball, I decided to chase my dream even further. I attended a draft league tryout and was fortunate enough to catch the eye of scouts who saw my true potential. Before I knew it, I was a professional baseball player from a small town in Montana living his dream.
Looking back, I wish I had a mentor or coach who could have helped me develop faster, someone who not only knew and loved the game but could also teach the mental side of it. Baseball is 99% mental. Taking my game to the next level meant learning humility and resilience.
Now, I want to give back to young athletes in the community who share the same dreams I once had. I have a lot of knowledge and experience to share, and my goal is to provide a positive, motivating environment where your child can grow their skills and, most importantly, keep loving the game.

Stephen Brush isn’t just another hitting instructor, he’s a movement specialist with over a decade of baseball coaching experience, and certified as a Youth Fitness Instructor through ISSA. While many instructors focus solely on teaching the swing, Stephen’s philosophy centers on building athleticism, balance, and repeatable movement patterns that translate to the entire game. By blending proper training tools with a deep understanding of how athletes develop, he helps players not only hit better, but become more confident, adaptable athletes.
